Services offered by the Life Transitions Team include help in:
1. Determining the best time to take Social Security
2. Exploring in detail the rules for divorced couples, widows or widowers, and those that were self-employed and are still working even after age 65
3. Utilizing the government’s tools that are available in understanding Medicare and the medicaid and Medicare Advantage programs and Medical Supplements as well as personal experience via medical companies and feedback from physicians: There are many new issues in the medical care field, some of which have been influenced by recent legislation with the evolution of The Affordable Care Act and what parts are likely to continue as a result of the elections and what differences we see down the road that would affect not only our lives, but the lives of the professionals that deliver the health care.
This planning should start by age 60 beginning with the first options available after 59 ½ up to age 70 ½. This would be combined with living wills and testamentary trusts to help expedite all of the issues that are faced in the last transition stage of life.
So that’s it. I don’t pretend to be everything for everyone, but I am experienced enough to know what I am capable of providing for my clients and also how I can refer them to those that offer other services that may benefit individuals and family units. Please consider investigating an upfront meeting to discuss life transitions and how it affects you and your family.
